Bio

AVIVA BUTT, writer, screenwriter, and translator, B.A. Honours (1980), M.A. Honours (1981) at the former Department of Semitic Studies, University of Sydney. Living in Australia, she worked with Professor Shmuel Moreh (1932-2017) of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and then with Professor Reuven Snir of Haifa University, Department of Arabic Language and Literature. Her present project is entitled: Creativity Itself: According to Salim Barakat and Mahmud Darwish, with anthology of poems in English translation.
